A Brief History of Kai Tak

Kai Tak Cruise Terminal (KTCT), an iconic local and international tourist destination, is the spearhead of the $130 billion development of Hong Kong’s Central Business District 2 which is due for completion in 2017. Designed by Norman Foster, the celebrated British Architect, the building can berth 2 of the world’s largest passenger ships at any one time. It features over 22,000 square feet of retail space, a similar size for food and beverage outlets and the most spectacular roof garden which is 850 metres in length and deemed to be public space by the Hong Kong Government. The facility also boasts 40 coach parking spaces and 200 public car parking spaces, taxi pick up and drop off zones, public mini-bus linking with Kowloon Bay MTR Station.
